Ok, so you’ve probably noticed that we are a little bit more than obsessed with the Olsens at Stellar Towers but these two can do no wrong sartorial wise in our eyes. Hot of the success of their New York Fashion Week debut for their line The Row and collaboration with American brand JC Penney, the Olsens have once again proved what an unstoppable fashion force they are.
The duo are planning on extending their already three successful fashion lines by launching a denim range, called ‘Textile Elizabeth and James’, which will fall under a lower-priced umbrella. Inspired by pieces in their own closet the denim line will have a 70s vibe to it including three styles: the Hendrix, the Joni, and the Stevie, which in case you haven’t noticed are 70s rock stars. The jeans will combine a distinctly ’70s look with the classic tailoring the Olsens are well- renowned for. The Joni’s are a high-rise silhouette and the Hendrix’s bell-bottoms.
So yes it looks like bell-bottoms are going to be a trend for summer if the Olsens have anything to say. These two sure are two busy- bees.
Unfortunately ‘Textile Elizabeth and James’ will go on sale exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus but luckily online store Intermix, which delivers to Ireland is stocking it- phew!
We love birthdays especially when its Dundrum Town Centres. Can you actually believe Dundrum Town Centre is five years old? It seems like only yesterday since Dublin’s savvy new shopping centre opened its doors to what now is the most acclaimed shopping destination in Ireland that we all can’t bear to live without. Like mobile phones, we are wondering what we did before it.
So to celebrate 5 fabulous years one lucky customer will walk away with a whopping Dundrum Town Centre goodie bag worth a staggering €50,000 on March 6th (We’re praying it’s us).
A giant Perspex box full of goodies representing prizes for over 50 retailers was unveiled yesterday. Some of the ‘money can’t buy prizes’ include private screenings at Movies@Dundrum to a Milano’s pizza making party. As well as these amazing prizes fashion is not forgotten. Up to €1000 worth of vouchers from most stores in the centre are up for grabs- so a whole new wardrobe for spring ladies.
So how do you win this out of this world prize? Well listen to Dublin’s 98 who have teamed up with the shopping centre and everyday a montage of 5 famous faces will be placed in the shopping centre with the corresponding famous voices played on air on Dublin’s 98. Just guess one of the faces or voices to be in with a chance of winning this fabulous life-changing prize.
The grand finale will be held in Dundrum Town Centre on Saturday March 6th where the very lucky winner will walk away with the entire contents of the giant perspex box worth over €50,000.

You’ve probably noticed by now that Ballygowan bottles are looking suspiciously girly of late. That’s because the water peeps have teamed up with The Marie Keating foundation to raise much-needed awareness and funds for breast cancer with the B Part of It Campaign. The bottles will be tickled pink until October in the run-up to Breast Cancer Awareness Month while the campaign will see lots of other events and initiatives over the coming months. You can B Part Of It yourself, (see what we did there?) by logging on to www.ballygowan.ie and joining the B Part Of It fanpage on www.facebook.com.
Long before Warehouse was the high-street staple we know and love, the company found its roots as Warehouse Utility Clothing way back when in 1976. What with the trend for going back to basics at the moment, Warehouse decided to follow suit and are launching their new collection Warehouse Utility this week.
The new collection will see them modernising their original casual classics with a rough and ready line of washed, laundered and worn-in fabrics in a palette of khaki, grey and sandy tones. Warehouse Utility is spot-on with the the military-inspired S/S 2010 runway collections, easy-to-wear jackets, shorts and trousers a paired with ravaged jersey and oversized knits. The embellishments bring a rock n roll vibe with hints of glamour from sporadic sequins, studs, embroidery and chain fringing – we’re especially loving the gorgeous military jacket (below) complete with with super-styley epaulettes, it’s the perfect alternative to a trench for spring.
The Warehouse Utility collection launches both in stores nationwide and online this Thursday, 25 February…see y’all there!x
If your man is the type of guy who loves hints and tips for pressies then leave this page open. Listen up men. With Valentines Day and Mothers Day just upon us this Limited Edition Clutch is the perfect gift, all the while giving back to a charity close to all our hearts. This spring, Chica boutique and Action Breast Cancer have teamed up to design this metallic silver with faux leather and pink diamontes. At only €49.99, we think it’s a bargain that will make you look good and feel great at the same time.
What with the big V day coming up this weekend, and everyone eager to impress their beau with a fancy gift and even fancier restaurant booking, we figured some peeps might like a more inventive idea for a date. Rather than joining everyone and their mother doing the over-priced restaurant thing, why not go for the brave option, the Dublin Ghost Bus Tour.
More like live theatre than a bus tour, the Ghost Bus takes you around Dublin’s most haunted places, while actors ensure you get an authentically terrifying experience. At €25 quid per adult, it’s not mega-cheap, but it is less costly, and a lot more fun, than a rip-off Valentine’s menu at a restaurant.
Plus what’s sexier than roaming around dark corners with your big burly protective bloke in tow? You’ll have no choice but to hold on to each other tight, and you’ll get extra brownie points for originality – Just start practising your damsel in distress screams and he’ll be all yours by the end of the evening…x

I think there is a trend happening- it seems almost everyday a new mail pops up in our inbox about the next big high street collaboration and this time it is none other than fashionable pop princess Pixie Lott. Hot after her charity designer collaboration with Moschino where she customised a grey basic jersey with lyrics of her songs, Pixie will co-design both a spring/summer and autumn/winter collection for Lipsy- a high street fave among style savvy young girls and celebs alike.
The first line, ‘Pixie Festival’ combines vintage-inspired dresses, distressed denim, printed vests and fringed waistcoats, whilst ‘Pixie Party’ will offer a range of glamorous embellished chiffon, animal prints and studded dresses- much to the style of Pixie herself.
Pixie who said she’s “always been a big fan of Lipsy and regularly shops in their stores” will no doubt have us queuing up to see the collection. We can’t wait!
Both collections will hit the shops on April 10th.
Ok, so we’re all for supporting fashion self-expression but seriously, what were Lady Gaga and Britney thinking wearing these outfits last night at the Grammys? Gaga chose a planet orbit style concoction that looked like she’d been zorbed in for the night from another planet. Meanwhile, poor ole Britney is still choosing to defy the Hollywood stylist but ended up looking more like mutton dressed as a black lamb than hot superstar. The black body suit covered in laced netting was never going to look good on anyone- let alone Britney.
Who do you think wore the worst outfit? Tell us what you think…
