Great for a Ladies’ Day, glitzy wedding or fancy summer party, consider the dresses an investment, while a tad on the pricey side, they are statement pieces that you’ll wear forever. Long before Warehouse was the high-street staple we know and love, the company found its roots as Warehouse Utility Clothing way back when in 1976. What with the trend for going back to basics at the moment, Warehouse decided to follow suit and are launching their new collection Warehouse Utility this week.
The new collection will see them modernising their original casual classics with a rough and ready line of washed, laundered and worn-in fabrics in a palette of khaki, grey and sandy tones. Warehouse Utility is spot-on with the the military-inspired S/S 2010 runway collections, easy-to-wear jackets, shorts and trousers a paired with ravaged jersey and oversized knits. The embellishments bring a rock n roll vibe with hints of glamour from sporadic sequins, studs, embroidery and chain fringing – we’re especially loving the gorgeous military jacket (below) complete with with super-styley epaulettes, it’s the perfect alternative to a trench for spring.
The Warehouse Utility collection launches both in stores nationwide and online this Thursday, 25 February…see y’all there!x
We here in STELLAR Towers love to talk…a lot. We talk about blokes, celebs, make-up, mates, and clothes, especially clothes. So to let you inside the minds and shopping bags of the peeps here in STELLAR, we’ll be hitting the blog to share some of our recent purchases we’re loving. We get excited when we get comments, and really want to know what you ladies are buying too, so please feel free to wax lyrical about your star buys too…
We’ve been hearing about Claire’s new amazo-scarf all week. She’s fallen head over heels in love with the Circle Scarf from American Apparel. For just 28 squid, you get a hella warm scarf, that can also be worn 14 other ways. Yup, 15 pieces for the price of one – we’re all over that.
We can confirm, after much acrobatics, that all 15 are possible, and most, pretty wearable. The thick jersey fabric, makes it really versatile, and cosy, but they also do a sheer version for the warmer blooded girlies out there. We really love how it can be work as a kind of shawl, which comes in very handy this weather (particularly when the bloke you fancy decides to spend the night hanging out in the beer garden – grrrr.)
Claire bagged one in olive green, but we’re betting she’ll have them all by next payday. Oh and another thing, they’re uni-sex, so you can share it with the man in your life too. With all this going for it, no wonder Claire hearts it so.
So what’s in your shopping bags this month? Have you bagged a bargain or had a splurge? We want to hear about it, so please do share…
As you know, we love all things styley here in STELLAR Towers. So when styley comes at a knock-down price, we’re only gaggers to see what it’s all about…
In an aim to make looking gorgeous a little more affordable, Mango have launched Think Up, a new collection of 90 pieces from as little as €12. Yep that’s right girlies, all the style and quality of the Spanish brand, with a friendlier figure on the price tag.
To coincide with the collection, Mango are also launching a Think Up website where you can read up on all the products as well as find out the skinny on topics such as fashion, events, leisure, art, restaurants, trends and travel – all on the most stylish of shoestrings.
The aim of the site and the collection is to keep things optimistic, despite the gloomier forecasts, budding recessionistas can’t complain with that – we just have to Think Up, our thumbs up x
Keeping up the theme of all things bedazzled, Lily Allen launched her new jewellery collection today and so on the ball are we, we’ve got the pics hot off the press…(complete with a minor boob flash)
We’re big fans of the panda pendants – not quite sure if we want the giant Lily Allen logo hanging off our necks. There’s also coins, letters, road signs and fruit, but the flashy flamingo is our absolute fave, and we hear it’s Lily’s too.
Let us know what you think, the collection will be hitting a store near you in September…watch this space for more details xxx
